Slowing down in Spain
We are Johan & Reijer. In 2011, as a busy couple, we first visited the Costa Tropical of Granada. Later, buying a holiday home in a white village nestled among orange and olive groves fulfilled a dream.
Here – close to Granada, La Alpujarra and the Sierra Nevada – we escaped our stressful lives. Away from the crowds, where everything moves at its own pace, we learned to unwind in the here and now, and Reijer began his Andalusia blog 'Spanish stories'.
Now, with this beautiful region as our new home base, we rent out four authentic holiday homes: Villa Merise, Casa Larimar, Ático Lolapaluza and Casita Little Switzerland. Four unique places with open views of water and mountains, which we are happy to share with our guests.

From our home base in Almuñécar on the Costa Tropical of Granada, we carry out renovation projects and manage and rent our four authentic holiday homes on the Costa Tropical and in the Lecrín Valley. The province of Granada - Our favourite region to unwind!
Welcome to the beautiful province of Granada, a diverse area in the heart of Andalusia. From the rugged coastline of the Costa Tropical to the charming pueblos blancos in the mountainous La Alpujarra, from the green and peaceful Lecrín Valley to the impressive peaks of the Sierra Nevada, and not forgetting the historic city of Granada itself. Johan and I are continually amazed by the beauty of the landscape, rich culture and welcoming people. We truly feel at home here and are happy to share our personal discoveries and favourite spots with our guests.
